Breast pain is common in women while it occasionally occurs in men, it can be in one breast or both. It is important to determine whether the pain is due to normal physiological changes related to hormonal fluctuation or to a pathological process such as breast cancer. The pain felt can feel quite extreme however this is not generally life threatening.
